Hey surprise, it's sale time again!
  This Thursday through Saturday we are having a quick flash sale.  Everything is 20% at least ... and some things, like Laserdiscs are 50% off. 
   Also of note, we will be closed New Years Day, and we will have some funky hours the following two weeks...more on that later.

11.26 Small Business Saturday Sale

We will be closed Thursday 11.24 for Thanksgiving, so please do not come to the store that day, nobody will let you inside.  Now for the good news... on Saturday 11.26 everything in the store will be 20% off. All purchases made with cash, credit cards, or gift certificats (sorry no store credit) get 20% off of everything in the store! There will be refreshments and snacks on hand too so stop by and say "hi"even if you don't wan't to buy anything. We will be opening up a bit early, at 10 am for you too!

Wednesday 7.23 Disasterpiece Theatre Outside: Flyin Ryan

In a continuing series of seriously bad movies presented exclusively on VHS comes Flyin' Ryan! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a pair of those wacky wheel shoes that could make you fly?!! Live out your freaky fantasies and come watch Flyin' Ryan! Somerville Flea Sundays!

Every Sunday June 5th  through October 16th High Energy sets up at The Somerville Flea in Davis Square.  The flea starts up at 10am and runs until 4pm.  There are usually about 20-30 vendors and a farmers market with local veggies.  When we setup at the flea we bring out clothes footwear, records, video games, cameras... the usual stuff you might find in the store... and more.  Sometimes we have comic books, action figures, paintings, knick-knacks, paddwacks who knows what we will show up with!  Checkout the flea website for more info

Friday 5.27 Disasterpeice Theatre - To Catch A Yeti - With The Boston Yeti

Join the Disasterpiece Theatre crew on Friday night as we team up with The Boston Yeti for a special screening!  In a continuing series of seriously terrible films shown exclusively on VHS comes To Catch A Yeti! Disasterpiece Theatre is pleased as punch to welcome the Boston Yeti! Who would have known that the Yeti is also a VHS aficionado!?


Disasterpiece Theatre is a free event, but donations are appreciated for pizza and refreshments!

We will be doing a VHS raffle fundraiser for the MSPCA, bring some extra bucks and win some rare VHS while supporting a good cause.  More information on the event is available on Facebook

March Events 3.26 Old School Game Show - 3.31 Disasterpiece Theatre

First off, a big thank you to all of you guys have made it to the new store! Things are still a work in progress, and there is still more work to be done, but  we are open, and that's pretty cool.  Also, we have a new phone number, call (617) 764-0141, don't call  the old number, nobody will pickup and you will be disappointed

Saturday March 26 - Old School Game Show's  Plug In, Power Up, 8-Bit Alt-Trivia Arcade

On Saturday, the Old School Game Show crew teams up with Bit Fest for an arcade trivia game show spectacular.  Arcade and console games will be on hand for your amusement and enjoyment, and there will be some great prizes from High Energy!  Get tickets here more info on Facebook!

Thursday March 31 - Disasterpiece Theatre Presents: Escape From Hell

In an ongoing series of seriously terrible films exclusively shown from VHS... Disasterpeice Theatre brings you Escape From Hell: The Movie!!! We have finally sunk to a new low (hah) of screening Christian propaganda ...we'll all burn in hell! Pizza and other refreshments provided, admission is free, but donations are accepted!  The "fun" starts at 8:30 at High Energy.  Please RSVP on Facebook or email us if you plan on attending.
